IX. Coaching Services, Therapy Services, and HIPAA
Safe Haven Counseling and Wellness provides both licensed mental health services and non-clinical coaching and educational services. These services are separate and distinct.
The Capacity Method is a coaching and educational program. It is not psychotherapy, counseling, mental health treatment, medical treatment, crisis intervention, or healthcare.
Participation in The Capacity Method does not establish a therapist-client relationship, counselor-client relationship, physician-patient relationship, or any other healthcare provider relationship.
Although the program may include education related to stress, burnout, anxiety, emotional well-being, neuroscience, Polyvagal Theory, behavior change, and human performance, all information is provided solely for educational and coaching purposes.
Nothing contained within the program should be interpreted as psychological, psychiatric, or medical advice.
Participants should consult their physician or licensed healthcare provider regarding any medical or mental health concerns.
Because The Capacity Method is a coaching program, information shared through the program—including course worksheets, coaching calls, email communication, online communities, assessments, or course platforms—is generally not protected under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) in the same manner as information shared within a formal psychotherapy relationship.
While we take reasonable precautions to protect your privacy, participants should avoid sharing highly sensitive medical, psychiatric, crisis-related, or protected health information through non-clinical communication channels.
If you are separately receiving psychotherapy or counseling services from Safe Haven Counseling and Wellness, those clinical services are governed by separate informed consent documents and applicable privacy laws, including HIPAA where applicable.
Participation in The Capacity Method does not create or imply enrollment in therapy services.
X. Educational Disclaimer
The Capacity Method is intended for educational and informational purposes only.
Our content is designed to educate individuals on stress, burnout prevention, nervous system regulation, resilience, performance, and personal development.
The information provided should not be considered medical advice, mental health treatment, diagnosis, or a substitute for individualized care from a licensed healthcare professional.
If you believe you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, contact 911 or your nearest emergency services immediately.
- Children's Privacy
Our website, coaching programs, and educational materials are intended for adults aged 18 years or older.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 18.
If we become aware that information has been collected from a child without appropriate consent, we will promptly delete that information.
